John Bowis was a Minister for the health of the United Kingdom from 1993 to 1996 then Minister for transport from 1996 to 1997. He was then advised for the World Health Organization before becoming European deputy since 1999. John Bowis is in the environment, public health and food safety parliament comission. He is an also vice president of the comission African-Caribbean-Pacific/European union (ACP/EU). John Bowis is currently in load of a report for the European comission on the diseases neglected in the countries in the process of development "Major and Neglected Diseases" At his arrival in
Bamako, for the ACP / EU meeting 2005, John Bowis wished to meet the
persons in charge of Santé Diabète Mali (SDM) and to visit
structures of taking care diabetes in Bamako. |
